Rural Electrification Agency of Nigeria Places Orders for Digital Test Equipment

In a landmark event and after a very exhaustive and competitive bid process, Micro-Technologies has won the Contract for the Supply, Installation and Commissioning of Digital Test Equipment and Accessories for the Rural Electrification Agency of the Federal Republic of Nigeria.

The Project is valued at N70,000,000.00 (Seventy Million Naira Only)

With this, Micro-Technologies extends the sope of its services to its varied customers.

Natioonal Directorate of Employment Goes Online

The National Directorate of Employment, in a bid to join the elite group of agencies deploying cutting edge technology in the provision of services, has contracted the services of Micro-Technologies Ltd for the design and implementation of an enterprise class VSAT internet access for its head office buiding in Abuja.

The service includes the installtion of firewalls and access control allowing controlled access to some network resources such as the NDE Data Base of Non Employed Nigerians.

It is hoped that this will form the hub for access to centrally located resources by all state and zonal offces of the NDE.

After a thorough and highly competitive pre-qualification exercise, Micro-Technologies emerged the prefered Information Technology Consultant to the National Open University (NOUN)

The NOUN is Nigeria's premier "boderless tertiary education provider".

To meet its primary objective, it must use modern information technology as a primary vehicle of service delivery. Micro-Technologies is to design, detail and supervise the implementation of the this huge project captured in the 2006 / 2007 programs of the institution.

Micro-Technologies Brings PHCN’s (Power Holding Company of Nigeria) Shiroro Hydro Power Station Business Unit to e-Compliance.

The Power Holding Company of Nigeria, the umbrella Company for the production, transmission and distribution of electricity in Nigeria has been undergoing some structural changes and reforms preparatory to its being privatized. The Shiroro Hydro Power Business Unit is one of the new organizations created out of the former monolith.

PHCN has however always pursued a consistent policy of employing modern technology in its day to day functions and Micro-Technologies has been a partner of the Organization in this, providing services like Network Design and Engineering as well as Value Added Service Provision.

Starting with the deployment of Micro-Wave Point-to-Multi Point Radio System to interconnect The Shiroro National Control Center (SNCC) to the Regional Transmission and Generation Offices located farther away form the SNCC and now the installation of an Enterprise LAN at the Hydro Power Plant with the deployment of a robust V-SAT Internet Access System, Micro-Technologies has brought the Shiroro Hydro Business Unit to full e-Compliance, bringing about another milestone in the development of the power sector.

Micro-Technologies Appointed Consultants to House of Reps, National Assembly, Federal Republic of Nigeria IT Project.

Micro-Technologies, a leading Communication and Information Technology Engineering, Consulting and Value Added Services provider has been appointed as Consultants to the House of Representatives, National Assembly of Nigeria for the purpose of providing consultancy service on their IT Project.

The Turnkey IT Project which will involve the design of Enterprise LAN / WAN Infrastructure, Deployment of Servers, Switches, Routers and Firewalls, Microwave Inter-Site Connection Systems, Online real-time Web Casting via the National Assembly Website as well as the Installation, Deployment and Implementation of a Legislative Management System on the Enterprise and a host of other services, is to commence immediately.

Apart from the design, Micro-Technologies is to provide Technical Management Support for the tendering process via the preparation of Tender / Bid Documents, Pre-Qualification of Vendors a well as Implementation / Project Management of the Project.
